Some e. e. cummings (the spacing is his)—wrong season, but whatever:
who are you, little i(five or six years old)peering from some highwindow;at the goldof november sunset(and feeling:that if dayhas to become nightthis is a beautiful way)
I'll tell you what I wish was cumming...an enormous whozeewhatsit!!!
wow your lame
I love this one.
Look at that sweet sunset.
DO NOT LET AMY KATE READ THIS
AND LOTS OF RED,BRAIN GUNK ALL AROUND
I was always amused that Cummings was not only not responsible for the lack of capitalization in his name when published but was against the decision at the time.
God, what an insufferable douche he was. I'm glad he's dead.
On a tangential note, it's apparently a myth (perpetrated incorrectly in the preface to an edition of one of his books!) that E.E. Cummings legally had his named lower-cased and that he generally personally preferred the lower-case style. Neither is true:
(this e.e. cummings,shit)
Cummings is the only American poet of the 20th century worth reading.
@11 -- Oh god, fnarf, you're an insufferable dunce.
