That being understood, to me this add, at its core, pivots on the same homophobic joke as the Snickers Super Bowl add. Two straight guys kiss (or in this case one) accidentally (or in this case unknowingly... because where he thinks he's kissing his wife, he's actually kissing a New York Deli guy, because of the mayonnaise... get it? Ha! Ha! Ha!). It's meant to be funny because of how ridiculous the whole situation is made to appear... It just struck me as kinda homophobic form the first view.
