Youth Pastor Watch

posted by on May 9 at 13:19 PM

Pennsylvania:

An Allegheny County jury convicted a former youth minister at a Wilkinsburg church Thursday of raping two boys and assaulting a third.

David Baird, 46, of West Deer was convicted of raping a 14-year-old boy and molesting a second boy. He also was convicted of raping a third boy over an eight-year period beginning when the child was 10.

Baird faces a maximum penalty of more than 100 years in prison for the two dozen convictions.

I totally get where you're going with these Dan, but given the sheer number of youth pastors who have been convicted of sexual assaults against minors since you've been tracking this, doesn't it make sense to just demand states AUTOMATICALLY REGISTER any and all male youth pastors within their jurisdictions, sort of like we do now with gun owners?

Seems like that would save the police and prosecutors a lot of time and paperwork in the long-run.

How about a new one then, Comte. Santa Watch:I know it's early for X-mas, but you've got to seriously wonder about grown men who get their jollies off little kids sitting on their laps.
