That's awesome. It reminds me of the episode of South Park when Mr. Garrison invented a vehicle where you sit on an anal probe and steer with your mouth.

He's 18 and has spend several years developing it!?! Did he start when he was 12--who knew the Canucks produced such boy geniuses?

Does this mean the Segway (sic?) is never going to catch on? All those shares down the drain...

@Fnarf

This debuted at the Canadian national motorcycle show and has been on the bike blogs for many, many Internet-years. The amazing thing is that it was made by an 18 year old. Designed on Google SketchUp!

But yes, you're right. I'd hit that.

If by "brainchild" you mean "Segway shaped like a motorcycle", um.... ok.

I'd rather die/suffer disfigurement some other way.

An electric engine just wouldn't provide enough vibration against the nads.

I want one, but only if it'll hop up onto curbs. Wheelies are out of the question.

@3 - actually, Canada's patent system is a lot easier than the US one, and the well-funded educational system creates quite a few boy and girl geniuses. So it's not that unusual.

Segway shaped like a motorcycle is right. But then again what if the segway had originally been shaped like this? It might have reduced the abuse heaped on it.

Though the fear factor wouldn't have helped it's popularity and this thing doesn't even LOOK like it should be on the sidewalk (to its credit.)

I'm with you, #7.

I'm still not sure how I survived my adolescence on a motorcycle...

Ditto, @7.

Adolescence is doing stoopid things that:
99% of the time nothing happens
0.99% of the time you think "Shit, I almost just died."
0.01% of the time you die.

Sure it looks cool, but it still has two wheels. They're just side by side. Why would this be more environmentally friendly than a normal motorcycle? If anything, it's less efficient because it's spending energy on the gyroscope to stay balanced.

@17 uhh, its electric, its more efficient than a motorcycle because it doesn't use gasoline. duh.

Looks like a sci-fi crotch rocket. But it isn't much faster than a Segway. 25mph.

Boring.

Are not all vehicles steered by body movements?

Make one fast enough for the highway, and I'm there.
