Someone on another Slog thread this morning (I forget where and am not presently in an appropriate mental state to go look) linked to an article about a cross country pneumatic tube that sends burritos from San Francisco to New York in something like 64 minutes. Apparently the tube was completed in the early 1930s and was originally intended to carry mail. When I just now Googled "cross country pneumatic burrito tube" I got the same article.

Why have I never heard of this before? Does anyone else know about it? Is Clem Kadiddlehopper in Hooterville, Nebraska aware that Mexican food may at this very moment be whooshing under his cow pasture at a speed faster than sound? 2. What are the risk factors and personality disorder characteristics of a pigeon darter?
3. How can you tell if your child is darting pigeons.
4. What can you do if you happen upon a dartheaded pigeon?
5. Why Seattle? What is the dark underbelly to a city of chai tea sippin hippies in volvos that could create an environment where it's ok to blowdart pigeons? Is Seattle the new Portland with its polite acceptance of just about any forms of deviancy?
