OK, I think I'm a big old marshmallow today because the video made me cry. I'm grateful that all the men in my family who served in wars made it back alive and I'm sorry for the families who cannot say the same. I appreciate the reminder that Memorial Day isn't just a day off work.

In the meantime, the members of the "Rolling Thunder" stuck their collective tongues far up the backside of President Bush. Here's a quote from their Executive Director, Artie Muller, after a meeting with Bush:

"He said he is going to really look into (increasing veteran's aide). He said that really has to change. I know he can't do everything we've always asked, but I know he's come close."

Proving that you don't need to really know or care anything about veteran's issues - even if you are a veteran - as long as you have a loud cycle. That makes you a true patriot.

And in the meantime, how many more will die? How many will be maimed?

"One byproduct of this, though: It's basically impossible to vet, or for reporters or researchers to examine, donations in these numbers."

What a supremely stupid assertion.
