Is it elitist to think people can't live without cheap gas? Because
the news from Detroit
is that our downtrodden working class that we all relate to so well has figured out how to buy smaller cars when the gas price goes up. Maybe we really can speak to the like grown ups.

What I want to know is, what makes legal immigration so hard that millions of people try to get around it?

Legal immigration is effectively impossible, unless you've got killer job skills or family here. Even then, it's still a bitch.

And then there’s the Barbara Walters affair that’s all over the nooze this morning.

The scariest aspect of her "confession" is just knowing that she began every one of those outrageous, earth-shattering, senatorial fuckfests with “hehwoe, ah’m Bahbwah Wahltahs…”

The big question is this: Is the use of the phrase white ni**er really that bad? I mean it is not being used to describe black people right? And I mean if there has ever been a white ni**ger James Carvelle would certianly fit the definition of it right?

What if Clinton makes some comeback and somehow managed to win some tally of the popular vote (one that doesn't cheat by including MI), and then suddenly starts arguing that the superdelegates are morally obliged to follow the "will of the people" and switch to her?

Wouldn't that be hilarious? Hilarious in its awfulness, that is?

"A big Clinton victory in Indiana on Tuesday and in West Virginia the next week could, combined with her victories in Pennsylvania and Ohio, give her ammunition to say that Mr. Obama would fail to draw blue-collar support against Mr. McCain in the fall."

This is about as stupid as saying black Democrats wouldn't vote for Hillary. This "blue collar support" thing is getting old and tired.

Also, does anyone want to fill me in on how a poll is at all relevant to this nomination process? I always thought it was about primaries, but what do I know.

Oh FSM help us, are we really gonna have to hear every pig and horse fuckah in Indiana and North Carolina tell CNN they can't vote for Obama 'cause he's a Mooslem? After the so-called "scandal" with his Christian pastor??

Why yes; yes we are.

Evil, evil money grubbing fucking scumbag.

Emmert in recent months has quietly accepted two board positions at local Fortune 500 companies. The first, for freight company Expeditors International, pays $200,000 a year in company stock. The second, for Weyerhaeuser, pays $140,000 annually — $70,000 a year in cash and $70,000 in stock that Emmert can cash in after leaving the board.

Emmert is required to attend four to six meetings annually for each company. Each meeting usually lasts a day or two.

The money comes on top of Emmert's annual UW compensation package of $905,000 and free use of the 12,000-square-foot presidential mansion.

@14 - don't diss my Facebook friend, he's only got slightly less than a million in direct income per year, plus the free houses (yes, plural).

;-)

Seriously, though, you want overpaid, go see what the sports guys get paid ...

I'm just so sad because I go to his school and know that I will never make a fraction of what his (even standard) salary is.
