Salt and caramel is fucking AWESOME!!!

I just wish it came to us as the result of killing cute little animals! Oh well...

I had the balsamic strawberry when I was there on Sunday and it was delicious. Very tart and clean flavor, almost like a yogurt.

There's a limited edition HaagenDazs (or however the hell you spell that shit) flavor that is salted caramel too. I haven't had the Molly Moon's, and it sounds better, but the Haagen Dasz stuff was pretty good.

I just got those for the first time last Friday and they were amazing! Truly fucking amazing!

I bet you'd prefer a chocolate-drenched Brett Favre. Salt would find its way into the combination in a matter of minutes.

These have been features of the Cornball dinner party chocolate course for years. But slammin' good to know about salted caramel ice cream at Molly Moon's...I am going there tonight for that shit! Woot!

I picked up a pack of three small ones at Whole Foods. They didn't have any price on them. I knew they'd be expensive, but shit... it was $5.99 for three chocolates. They're good. But that wasn't six dollars good.

There's a fancy ice cream joint in LA called "Scoops" (on the edge of Koreatown, by a bike shop) and they have similar crazy concoctions, all delicious.

One of the best I sampled was White Chocolate Mousse laced with Gray Sea Salt. Fucking mind-blowing.

Eat ice cream today! Molly Moon's is fabulous and it is my birthday!

I will happily pay $2 a pop for the Fran's experience once or twice a year for the rest of my life.

@10: me too. Those things are CRIMINALLY INSANE. I'm pretty indifferent to caramel, and chocolate is alright, nothing to freak out about. But those Fran's things are UNBELIEVABLE. Best sweet treat I've ever had -- even better than pickle ice cream.

I had the "Sweet and Salty" (which is a salted caramel) cake at Baked in Brooklyn last month... and since I'm back in NYC this week perhaps I'll pick up more.

If someone wants me to bring one back... well, there's a price on anything.

I fell in love with these at Miette in the Ferry Building, San Francisco. Worth visiting, it will appeal to the little girl in you, with its pink, frilly trim and gorgeous cakes.

Took the kids to the Molly Moon's grand opening on the 10th. They got chocolate (for free!) and I the salted caramel. It is indeed awesome and I will be back. Thanks Molly!

The week before I got braces I ate about three pounds of Fran's gray salt caramels, because I knew I had to OD or else I wouldn't be able to go two years without them.

It's worth chiming in to support your position regarding salty caramels from Fran's. Nothing snarky to add; they're amazing.

Try the salted caramels at Purple wine bar. They'e gooooood.
I'm excited to try Molly Moon's too.

I love love love Fran's salted caramels, just like everyone else. They're also one of the few chocolates my boyfriend ignores. His loss, my gain. Some people are saying Molly Moon's version is too salty, but I'll admit I got excited when I saw it on the menu.

I wish we had them here, or that I lived in a place that wasn't already in the mid-90s so that I could order them. Chocolate, caramel, and salt are a gift from the deity or deities of your choosing.

I would totally marry those caramels. If they would put pretzels in them I wouldn't eat anything else.

I'm betting this is both caramelly AND salty: http://www.edibleanus.com/

Salt and caramel? I am skeptical.

The salted caramel ice cream at Molly Moon's is really good! So is the Balsamic Strawberry.

I stopped in around 10:30pm on Monday night (they are open until 11pm every night I think). I've heard there have been long weekend day lines. So if you are a grown-up, you may have an easier time getting in and out if you swing by after 8pm.
