The Day After

posted by on May 14 at 9:10 AM

In case you missed all the fuss last night, here’s the video of Hillary Clinton’s victory speech after her blowout win in West Virginia (note the guy waving a bowling pin in the background).

Turning from working-class white voters to young voters, here are the leaders of the College Democrats (who together count as one superdelegate) endorsing Obama this morning.

Oh, fuck all that - there's chatter this morning that Hillary is considering running as an independent. Which should really be freaking everybody out.

Her fans would love an independent run.

Hillary as an Independent...that'd be a major flip-flop from her saying she will support the Democratic Nominee with all her heart.

@5 would that really surprise you? anything to be president really.

Apparently, her internal polling shows that she would get 29% in the general. Not enough for a win, but in a three-way race, it's awfully close to a win.

No, she's not running as an independent. She's not completely insane; she just looks that way right now.

Hillary's not running as an independent. She would have to be insane.

More important: Can somebody please give those College Dems some teleprompter lessons? Watching that video was like watching an rolling-eyed epileptic.

It is obvious that Obama and his campaign are going to have to work quadruple hard to win the election in November. Fortunately, I am confident that his team is up to the task. All this, "If X doesn't happen, I'm voting for McCain" is maddening. Have people who made those threats actually read up on McCain's (non-existent) policies? McCain's privilege is evident. By being white and male, many voters blindly give him the benefit of doubt when he does not deserve it. He would be a dangerous, destructive president.

McCain is toast. Seriously, he's going to be crushed like a legless bug. Hillary needs to go away, but in the long run she's not hurting anybody but herself. Someone needs to sit her down and ask her if she wants to sit at home for the remaining 20-odd years of her life, or work in politics.

Want to know why murders can't be solved in West Virginia? There are no dental records and the DNA is all the same.

ba-dum-dum.

Is it just me or does the girl in the second video look like Michael Jackson?

There once was a short-lived war along the Ohio river. The folks on the West Virginia side lofted hang grenades at the people on the Ohio side. The Ohio army pulled the pins and threw them back.

Experience you can feel ... Hillary/Monica 08

I thought they were both full-on supers, but the girl is from Michigan and thus has been de-credentialed?
