The "sisters" are opportunists who latch onto any fad that is fashionable. They're about as cool as the SGN.

But they're harmless, as long as you keep an eye on the cashbox.

...because associating drag queens with your cause is a great way to win over the kinds of people who still think medical marijuana should be illegal!

Why the fuck do liberal political protests always get turned into sideshows? I bet there were giant puppets in attendance, too, and people with stilts. I fucking hate giant puppets.

Just read your "news" piece about the poor job by the P-I and Times reporting on a DEA bust. One question: Why didn't YOU report it?

You have all the questions but none of the answers. You write a so-called story in which you bitch about those reporters not contacting others, and what do you laughably do? You quote your name-calling "editorial director." (Is that who you wanted the P-I and Times to quote, their editors!?)

To hear you and Savage (the guy who writes headlines about shitting in someone's mouth, yet draws embarrassing accolades from Times editor Boardman) complain about reporting is like hearing Larry Craig and Eliot Spitzer complain about prostitution.

@ 11) I like how the Internet brings out the best in people, don't you?

To answer your question, the reasons I didn't report the pot bust itself is because there's nothing really to report. There will be about 800,000 pot arrests in the US this year, and the arrest of about a dozen saps just doesn't qualify as news. The DEA was vaunting this bust as an example of their heroic work, and the MSM fell for it hook, line, and sinker, reporting the story without questioning both sides of the issue. As for what I "laughably do," I have written about both sides of drug enforcement.

Comparing the reporting in the Stranger to the dailies is beside the point. The dailies claim to be fair and objective, but when pot busts come up they are one-sided mouthpieces for the DEA. At least The Stranger is forthright about about its bias--but we still get both sides of the story.

For instance, when I quoted Savage, I also did something that the dailies didn't: I interviewed the reporters with a differing viewpoint, but they wouldn't talk because they're fucking credulous hacks--on the issue of pot.

Love 'em all. Help, help, and more help.

#9 - get something for the pervasive constipation - after two weeks, IT IS serious to say nothing about the smell of death inside.

There are about 40 Sisters in Seattle, I know several, going way back, and they help at every event for free as volunteers, as well as staging some events of their own.

I have never heard a hint of bad mouth about them and money except for your shit hole remarks.

Shame on you.

Dear Meh:

You sound like one of those gays that think we should all look and act like conservative republicans. How are we ever going to get the right to be married if we invite the drag queens? Waaaahhhhh!!!

Gross.

I spit out my coffee reading that one - along with your weenie excuse that there wasn't anything to report, a point you never originally made and, if true, why then are you complaining about the papers not reporting it?

Again, you didn't get both sides of the story - the side you say was left out of the dailies. And only a hypocryte would say a comparison to the Stranger is besides the point - it's the whole point: It's do what I say, not what I do. You had the chance to give us a full report in "Seattle's Only Newspaper" and blew it.

As for bringing out the best in someone: is that what you and your 'editorial director' did by calling the reporters fucking credulous hacks?

@ 16) Too bad you spit out your coffee. That sounds gross.

Like I said, I didn't write about the busts because 14 people arrested out of 800,000 annual pot arrests isn't newsworthy. What's noteworthy is that the MSM reported the busts as a one-sided issue and only used law enforcement as sources--not that they did or didn't cover it. If they are going to cover pot busts, however ordinary, reporters should report on whether the busts are helping matters or making them worse--like they wold for any other issue.
