<description>Tonight, skatepark designers Newline and VDZ are holding the second design meeting for the Seask8 rebuild at Seattle Center. The meeting will be held in the Shaw Room from 6:30-8, where Newline and VDZ will present conceptual designs for the park. One thing the new park apparently won&apos;t include is a skate bowl, which has created a bit of a shitstorm over on VDZ&apos;s SeaSk8 message board. <description><![CDATA[<p>The funny thing about the Woodland Park Skatepark is just how inobtrusive it is after all the brouhaha stirred up by that crazy lady who thought she was a Neighborhood Association. The thing is about a mile from the nearest house, and she probably wouldn't be able to hear the skaters if they were having a gun battle.</p>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Again...can someone explain to me why skaters (oh...excuse me..."sk8ers") deserve a skatepark at Seattle Center?  Why is a perfectly good building, that gets used by lots of community and festival groups, being torn down for a park that everyone has already started bitching about?  <br />
