awesome... guess I'll have to keep my head down as I ride my bike home through that intersection today. And every day.. tired of this shit. Found a bullet on the sidewalk in front of my house the other day.

ya' don't say? I don't understand how the thugg'd out crew that frequents this area finds the time for crime. I have to work full time to afford to live in that scary ass neighborhood, and frankly, I'm too tired after work for recreational crime.

There's always something going down at this intersection. I believe Robert Jamieson of the PI editorial staff recently dubbed this the most violent intersection in seattle

Actually Jameison said 23rd and Union is the bad area http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/jamieson/349802_robert02.html

23rd and Union is scary as shit. There are so many junkies, prostitutes, drug dealers, and creepy people loitering around that intersection.

Another reason I like living in Queen Anne: very few shootings.

Other news outlets are saying he "walked into the bank saying he was shot". I was there. He was screaming a scream I have never heard. Although brief, at least The Stranger got it right.

That this makes news is actually a positive thing for Seattle. You can start to worry when this sort of thing isn't nearly sensational enough to get anyone's attention.

Anyone check on the whereabouts of Mix-A-Lot? I hear his posse hangs at 23rd and Jackson before heading to the strip to look for some action.

I was just going to go get groceries at the Red Apple. Looks like I'll go somewhere else now. I drove past this on the way home and I knew something was up...

Wow some of you guys are really insensitive. "My posse's on Broadway"??????? Someone could have died. I guess just because the victim was probably a young black person its somehow ok to make fun of youth violence. Do any of you have any idea how silly it sounds to make a joke out of this? After reading this page I almost didn't want to entertain any of the disrespectful comments, but I did it anyway.

Oooh, scary.

Good thing I'm priced out of ever owning a home in THAT neighborhood.

Lord, I need to get back to Seattle.
This wouldn't even be news here in DC.
Was speaking with some cops outside my bar last night, they informed me that in my little 25 sq. block neighborhood, there have been 8 murders in the last 11 days.
Nothing about it in the news.
