Wait. Why is this a bad thing? I thought it was entertaining.
I for one hope Australia loses every game from now on.
Can someone with actual knowledge of the soccer world involved explain why this was considered a bad thing by anybody?
Soccer ain't rugby. Two, er, three different things. No soccer team would ever do this. And in the rugby world, this is probably the mildest thing the Aussies have ever done to mark a loss or a win. No dwarves were hurled, no buildings burned down, no pubs were drunk dry and then smashed, no airplanes crashed.
Sure looks like a fitting tribute from the losers to the victors to me.
Bless rugby players everywhere. Their joy and vibrancy show all of us how to embrace life.
Thank you Dan!
I love Vilnius.
Alright Quake, the bar has been raised. Next drink-up, let's see some skin boys!
Fnarf, Aussies and Austrians are two different things.
Quick fun fact about Vilnius: There is a bar there called 'Batmanus,' which features giant paper mache Batmans hanging from the ceiling in various action poses. And it is totally a gay bar.
It was Austria folks. The Australians wouldn't have lost to Lithuania. And they would've been drunk, probably before the game.
@2 & 4, that's Austrian, not Australian. And god bless ruggers.
Really, All-Blacks and Wallabies aside, most rugby union teams have had really astonishing trouncings at some point. Good to see some lighthearted fun around it.
Ummm...isn't Europe a little more tolerant on nudity? What's the big deal here?
From now on, the Mariners need to be forced to do this everytime they lose.
Um, the audience didn't seem even a little bit "disturbed, offended, or emotionally hurt". At least not by the skin. The singing, however, was pretty offensive.
Being drunk is the POINT of being an Aussie Ruggers Fan!
Never apologize - at least until after you've been arrested ...
What do they do when they're drunk?
vive la oesterreich!
Oh, come on -- Austria and Australia are the same fucking thing. I mean, really, The Aussies have Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the Austrians have Mel Gibson and an Opera House, but other than that, what's the difference, really?
Oops.
Wait, they're NOT Australian?
Nevermind then... Naked Austrians are gross.
Some of my fave naked people are Austrian.
But they're all women.
So I guess I see your point, @19, altho I guess California doesn't (Ahnold)
Wasn't aware of the pervasive, anti-smut atmosphere of Big Brother Boeing. I sent this permalink out on a general e-mailing without marking it "NSFW" and was immediately informed that [at Boeing] you can lose days at work if you're caught opening such a YouTube that exhibits buck naked guys with Vienna Woods
George Orwell, you told us this would happen! What can you say about a country whose thought police blur out the genitalia of babies who appear on America's Favorite Home Videos?
Though blessedly, they also prevent us from seeing Dead Boys Coming Home From Iraq In One Thousand Little Pieces - so maybe they're not all bad and really do care for our tender psyches.
This is the second time today Vilnius has come up in conversation for me.
Normally I don't even get to talk about Vilnius once.
Why must we always bow to the lowest common denominator, those "who felt disturbed, offended or emotionally hurt by this behaviour"?
On behalf of everyone else, those who felt disturbed, offended or emotionally hurt by this behaviour can go fuck themselves.
Numbie it's *Austria* not Australia! Go tell your geography teacher you are stupid.
*Awesome*
I wish they were Australian. Usually I shrink in embarrassment from the more football jock-type behaviour of my countrymen, but this filled my heart with joy. I did suspect it was inaccurate when you mentioned the 48-0 score.
Imagine if all of our international figures were made to perform embarrassing, self-mocking dances for our entertainment after every failure?
interesting video, i must say.
if there were offended ppl, i couldn't see it: the camera was whirling too fast around to clearly see any of the audience members' faces.
didn't especially offend me. i am a little concerned about that kid being near them towards the end of the video there.
WHY can't America be as wonderful and fun as Europe and the Baltic regions.
Ah, c'mon, @27. That kid totally had the look of "Oooh! Can I do that too?"
I love rugby players. Fantastic stuff.
Anyone notice it's not raining?
It's completely inappropriate what they did. Not only should they be sanction they should be arrested for public indecency.
Why would they assume humiliating themselves in public was the best response for a humiliating defeat. This immediate resorting to self-debasement is not a good or positive mentality.

I love this idea. The world would be a better place.
