every time I read a variation of the "please join me in..." line, i want to tear out my eyes.

i just did a search of my email on the exact phrase "please join me in" and it is maddening:

"Please join me in welcoming Sean..."
"Please join me in welcoming Deborah..."
"Please join me in congratulating Jaime..."
"Please join me in congratulating John..."

all within the last few weeks. grr.
