Nick Garrison was born to play pretty much every role he steps into. He was nearly more Hedwig than John Cameron Mitchell. The man is a genius. Seattle is damned lucky to have him.

I love Nick and I love Suzy and they're hugely talented, but this production looked like it was designed and produced for a 2nd rate casino in Laughlin, Nevada.

And my cat would have done a better job of directing.

@1 - I agree completely! I've always said Nick is a better Hedwig than John Cameron Mitchell.

When oh when will Nick come back and do Hedwig at the Re-Bar? Never, I guess.

From the earlier review:

The production gives Garrison nothing to work with and, in turn, his performance seems half-hearted.

That seems damnable praise. Either he's outstanding in the role, or he's not. I've played this role before, and I know how tough it is.

He was, as Christopher Frizzelle said in his review, born to play the Emcee.

Or not, depending on how you took Frizzelle's review. Make up your minds.
