SIFF It Strikes Me…

on… that it’d be pretty easy to leak the Secret Festival films this year—just create a fake account on the SIFF site (they just want an email address) and “add your own review” enormous hints. Not that I’m suggesting you break any enforceable oaths or anything.
I mean, all hell would rain down on your easily deleted email address. Wouldn’t want that.

Bwaananananana!!1!
Damn! That's some clever ninja-spy shit you thought of!
@3: Actually, I'm like eight times ahead of that. I'm already ready for the fake reviews under real names just to throw everybody off the scent. Obviously, the easiest way to spill the Secrets is to post on Slog.
Sweet. This would SIFF into a position of being forced to kill one of their most popular and long running events, one that benefits festival regulars most of all.
Looking to something to pad your resume, Annie, for when MoDo retires from the New York Times?
Oh, calm now. All SIFF has to do is remove the "review this movie" feature from the Secret page.
I have never seen anything interesting (or good) at the Secret Festival. Is it just my bad luck?
@6: No, it's not just you. A long-time festival-goer convinced me to attend the Secret Festival for two years running, and I think I saw ONE decent movie the whole time. The rest was a collection of absolute crap, movies shown just slightly before the release date, and films that were already at Scarecrow.
The Secret of the Secret Festival is that it totally, totally sucks.
I saw three really great films at previous Secret Festivals. But, yeah, some of them really really suck.
So Will, what were they?
We can always count on Ace Reporter Annie to find an ingenious new way to piss on the parade.
Or are they still a secret?
