Sorry, but there is just no way to make old lady garden shoes appealing, well, except of course to old ladies that garden, and apparently the sort of person that shops at REI but doesn't actually engage in outdoor activities, except maybe for gardening.

Crocs are also hugely popular among hospital nurses. When you work 12 hour shifts, mostly on your feet, and deal with a lot of bodily substances, you want shoes that are comfy, light, and easy to clean, and don't give a damn how they look.

I've heard rumours about the company struggling - if it looks like Crocs is going to go out of business, I'm going to buy enough pairs to last the rest of my career and hoard them.

You know, its fine and all if you're a nurse or a chef or something, but Crocs as a fashion statement are a total abomination. I just cannot believe people think it is ok to wear Crocs public. Butt ugly. Only a slight step up from Uggs.

I'm glad they're going out of business.

Haha! There are over 90 styles of Crocs out there, the majority of which aren't bright orange, pink, or "rubber". You should really know what you're talking about before you speak.

I am the biggest shoe whore on the planet, so forgive the long rant.

The fact that crocs can be washed in the dishwasher creeps me out. It's probably illogical but it does.

I think crocs are ugly, though I concede their practical purposes so for those who wear them for those purposes, fine have at it. But, some people wear them as a fashion statement, a non-ironic "look at me I'm cool" fashion statement. And that's just dumb.

Uggs are not attractive. They make women's feet and legs look huge, the shearling gets matted down and grungy looking, and I don't give a flying fuck how comfortable they are they make 90% of the people I see wearing them look frumpy and unattractive. Even most movie stars do not pull the look off well.
