Oh Erica, maybe someday you'll post some sort of reason why Hillary should be elected president, instead of all this obsessing on Obama and crying about how people pick on her. Seriously, when was the last time you actually gave any reason to vote for her?

Look, Erica, we know that your extreme partisanship on behalf of all things vaginal compels you, whenever you see a Hillary-unfriendly post round these parts, to find something - anything, even something weeks old and cheesy and already done to death - to bash Obama with.

But you have to face up to the fact that you're just really, really, really bad at this. I know there are other, quieter Hillary fans around at the Stranger. Perhaps you might ask them to take on the Hillary shilling (Shillarying?), since they couldn't possibly do a worse job of it than you have.

Is Hillary's only issue identity politics at this point? I didn't initially support either her or obama, but the increasingly constant theme is that if you don't support Hrc theb you are probably, not definately, but probably a latent misogyist. I'm not, and no Obama supporter I've met is, neither was any Richadson supporter, or a Biden supporter, or etc. etc. etc. Clinton's narrative of victimization is a non-winner in the general election; but what do I know? Apparently, I'm "just" a white male; this language of marginalization of my personhood as a key part in an attempt to illustrate Hrc's supposed victimization is telling.

What's way better than that is Erica C. Barnett giving me the finger. Well, she's actually giving the finger to some talk show host, not to me, but the picture makes it seem like she's pouring all her contempt straight at me, while her angry eyes take delicious pleasure in caressing me with white hot beams of burning disgust. Sometimes I look at that picture and imagine her smiling lips parting just enough to growl, "I hate you, elenchos. You are worthless. Worthless!"

ABSOLUTELY see the alternate angle linked @ 9 above, and observe the index finger's shadow on Obama's cheek -- demonstrating unequivocally that the index finger does not contact Obama's cheek. (In fact, it's awkwardly retracted.) Can you even admit this obvious but not necessarily dispository fact?

Can you find a similar (supposedly unconscious) mannerism in umpteen hours of pre-existing Obama tape?

Can you find a similar instance of a dramatic pause around a scratch or other unconscious gesture?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2] or to support Hillary's sinking candidacy [3]

This is a zombie lie. It's a lie that gets debunked over and over again, but keeps coming back.

Are there any tactics of the right Clinton supporters aren't willing to use?

If you've been following election results in the UK, you'll see what happens to left-leaning parties that try to mimic their right-wing opponents: they lose.

Lee @ 47 -- Is it then your opinion that Obama's index finger in the frame linked @ 9 is in contact with his cheek?

If so, how do you explain the shadow of his index finger tip projected on the same cheek, distant from the finger tip itself?

RonK, once you actually type out a sentence like this in earnest, and think it's making a meaningful point, it's a sign that it's time for you to step away from the keyboard and the political blogs for a little while and regain perspective.

Ron, I'm telling you this as someone who has met you and has even had nice conversations with you in the past. Please see a mental health specialist as soon as you can and deal with whatever is going on inside your head right now. You are not in a good place and you need help. tsm @ 53 -- I'm simply pointing out a physical impossibility in the Obamanaist interpretation of a photo someone else introduced a conclusive evidence of a two-fingered scratch.

Do you have an explanation? Or do you not?

Is it significant that Obamanaists can almost universally convince themselves of this physically impossible interpretation? Might it cast doubt on their collective interpretation of other information?

Note to readers: Lee/thehim and I intersect in some interests, worthy causes and social circles, but I have never considered him a person of sound mind or judgment. He has previously exhibited a faith in his determination of others' beliefs, attitudes and mental states at a distance and without evidence, and his attempts at explicit reasoning from evidence are not much more impressive.

I can't believe I'm actually going to discuss this. RonK, when you assert that he is making an offensive gesture by scratching his face with his middle finger while his index finger is also extended, you're creating a new offensive gesture that, I'm sure, very few Americans other than yourself would realize is an offensive gesture. Last I checked, this particular offensive gesture is formed by extending the middle finger and keeping the other four curled. As shown by the second angle, this is clearly not what he did. Arguing that it is offensive because he did not simultaneously scratch his face with the second finger is just a tad bit unreasonable.

Obamaniac @ 58 -- You have gone off-track already, attempting to refute something I have not argued (or even asserted) here, i.e., that he is making an offensive gesture.

I simply noted that the photo "two finger scratch" photo indisputably portrays a one-finger scratch.

Is that premise now granted? If it is, we can proceed with the analysis. If it's not (and I believe you'll find most Obamanaists, against the evidence, will not grant this premise), then we're not operating in the realm of physically realistic interpretation, are we?

Um, I think it's safe to say you've asserted it. Otherwise, why the fuck would be arguing about the shadow of his finger?

Is that premise now granted? If it is, we can proceed with the analysis.

Lee, you demonstrate once again that you don't know what the parts of a reasoned argument are, or how they fit together.

That doesn't fully explain why you repeatedly come out of an exchange thinking the people who disagree with you must be crazy, but it helps.

As for the argument in progress, it stands unrefuted but uncompleted. Maybe someone familiar with principles of evidence and inference (Golob?) would like to take a stepwise stab at discourse over what can and can't be determined from the information at hand.

Dude, you're full on bonkers. The argument you're making isn't even in the neighborhood of sane.

Lee, your habit of labeling people "insane" is already noted; your inability to identify the argument at hand is already noted; and your refusal to engage on any point of fact is obvious. This is not respectable conduct - intellectually, socially, or morally.

What exactly is your point, RonK, that Obama scratched himself with one finger instead of two?

Wow. Ok.

Can you find a similar (supposedly unconscious) mannerism in umpteen hours of pre-existing Obama tape?

Can you find a similar instance of a dramatic pause around a scratch or other unconscious gesture?

Why even bring this up then? Are you trying to say it was a meaningful gesture or not?

Yeah, MyDD did say he scratched with two fingers. Who cares. They made a mistake. If you read the original DailyKos diary, it says nothing of the sort. Either you believe Obama flipped Hillary off, or you believe the alternate angle showing that he doesn't. Quibbling over whether two fingers contacted his face is pointless.

This post is evidence of one thing. That the Stranger staff is afraid of Erica and they just give her a wide berth and silently pray for it to stop. This is really old news, as someone mentioned, and debunked by photos from another angle. He's scratching his cheek with two fingers.

Posted by Phoebe | May 3, 2008 2:55 PM

Obama scratched his face. In reality world, he didn't give anyone the finger.

Clinton, on the other hand, constantly gives huge swaths of the country the finger by claiming that legitimate caucuses (including ours) don't count, that any state where she doesn't win is full of effete, latte-drinking snobs, that we're "boutique" states, etc. Clinton's campaign constantly insults not only the people who didn't vote for her, but her own supporters if they happen to live in states where she didn't win.

If you're going to take offense at something, I'd choose that over Obama's phantom finger.
