The irony free mincing of that colorful fella around the gym has totally convinced me that Hilary is the one to root for. I love the drama, the dramatic narrative of this video made by small town, hard working, white folk, confronted with a problem, and the marching that resulted! The running theme here is "We need a woman in the White House". As if Hillary is behind in the delegate race because of sexism, as she and many of her supporters are claiming. News flash: a lot of us Obamaniacs here in Washington State voted for the current governor and both senators, all of whom are women. If any of them decide to run for president later they would likely have my vote. I voted for Geraldine Ferraro for VP in 1984 (although I am not proud of that after her recent comments) and several other female candidates here and in my pre-Seattle district back east.

There will be a woman president someday. It will happen within my lifetime, and I am older than many of you. But it won't be Hillary. I will vote for her against McCain this November if she ends up as the candidate, but at this point it would take a miracle on the order of loaves and fishes for that to happen. Hillary is losing because of the way in which she conducted her campaign, not because of her gender.
