ECB is going to be sad when she hears the news.

"Had these acts been real, they would have violated basic ethical standards and raised serious mental and physical health concerns."

As if pretending the acts were real does not.

I hope it's really a hoax. It's in poor taste either way.

@3 There are no physical health concerns in making up a story.

The problem with these "follow up" stories is that for the next 20 years the Pro-Life crowd is going to point to this as the Truth and ignore the fact that it was disproven; a'la "Cadillac driving welfare queens"

"'People have to stop being so dismissive about what art is. It has to stop hanging on the wall. It has to be something lived, breathed every day,' she said."

Wasn't that already tackled way back in 1917 with Duchamp's "Fountain"??

I kind of want to throw a brick (or a urinal) at this girl.

I love this. HuffPo had it up late yesterday, before the hoax was exposed. I say, let the lifers believe this was real. They believe in fairy tales already, what's the harm?

hee hee. I knew it couldn't be real. A woman's body is not a baby factory and chances are if it were real she would have had complications. People are funny.
Whether it is art or not that is yet to be seen. I appreciate it.

No, yeah, that makes it soooo much better.

Mike in MO: Slog had it up yesterday, too, without a hint of skepticism and linking to a rabid anti-abortion site as a source. Embarrassing.

There is no way in hell it could be real. A mean ... how the hell does a woman have a 100% success rate in getting pregnant? Where does a such a raving lunatic find sperm donors? And how does a woman have a 100% successful miscariage rate when it comes to using "chinese herbs"? Unless she is importing RU86 from china (then she is REALLY out of her fucking mind), she isn't going to have a 100% success rate with abortion (was she relying on a wire hanger in the meantime?). If one child managed to "slip through", there is no way a doctor would let her keep the fetus.

This is a project that she probably couldn't do alone, and most likly takes YEARS and not 9 months to produce "the miscarriage" material. If it is real, this woman needs to be commited
