When I was a Good Christian, I was about *this* close to going to Southern Nazarene University. And having grown up Nazarene in North Central Texas, I have a vague but definitely-not-imagined memory of a Wonderly family's being involved in regional denominational events. Hay, y'all!

what vince said. even the intelligent ones have to put their brains on a shelf while referencing their religion, then they can pick it up, put it back in their head and talk to you about freud, politics, gardening, history, etc. like a reasonable person. i have a catholic nun for an aunt-in-law (never "done it", totally indoctrinated) and she is quite capable of holding her own in a conversation, but when she gets to talking the "cant," it's all smarmy platitudes and unctuous drivel that has nothing to do with reality.

Burgin99, as ever, is there any way you could just shut your fucking mouth, and pass these by if you don't like them. Funny how you're always at the top of the list too. Makes one wonder if maybe you don't kinda, you know, "get something" out of these.
