Comments on Today The Stranger Suggests

I'm in Austin at the moment and I saw THE UNFORESEEN here yesterday. The photography is gorgeous, as one would expect from a film that is co-produced by Terrence Malick. The drama that Annie describes is strong through the first two-thirds of the movie. The last third is diffuse, however, leaving the audience with a general feeling of hopelessness for the future, at least in the case of Barton Springs and Austin. They are building new condos right next to Zilker Park too, and the vandals seem to enjoy defacing advertisements for said developments.
