I love that stupid hippie name generator. I wanna show it to all the burners I know.

Also, GO ARGEN-FUCKING-TINA!!

Lastly, I really like that the article on the 29 commuted crack sentences didn't take the angle of "Crack dealers released to rape children in your neighborhood!" that so many other news orgs have done.

I think Starbucks getting out of the music biz is a good thing.

And bring back Chantico - no, we're not kidding, we "non-druggies" need our hot chocolate drink fix ...

@2 Have you tried the Chocolate Box? At an event I attended they were handing out free samples of their hot chocolate and it reminded me of Chantico but better.

Thank the heavens above for Carmen Miranda. First you guys give me Jem! and now this. What's a gay to do?

The dead worb water boy's myspace is rather heartbreaking.

Uh, Carmen Miranda was Brazilian, not Argentine (actually, she was born in Portugal but moved to Brazil at a young age)... could've gone with some Carlos Gardel instead!

@ 6) With all due respect for your penchant for specifics, I believe you're overthinking a simple joke. The humor, if there is any, isn't that the nation in which the court ruled to decriminalize drugs and the birthplace of Carmen Miranda are the same--though that would have been clever. Rather, it's a cheap joke about the headline, "South American Way." Carmen Miranda's seemingly drugged performance of it juxtaposed with the news that Argentina court had decriminali... God, this gets a lot less amusing the more it's explained. It's a funny video... and I think it's time for bed.

@8 - I didn't mean for it to come off snarky. I just thought it was funny, since I lived in Brazil for a long time, and they often make the joke that Americans know so little about the country that they think the capital is Buenos Aires... I can be a pedantic wanker sometimes but I didn't mean it to come across that way. Sorry for ruining the fun.

It's all good, antiuser. Don't put much stock in anything I write at 2:30 in the morning.
