Media The Throat of Amanda’s Roommate

onThe Italians have taken it to the next level. If you want to see the scene of the crime (the murder of Meredith Kercher), which is in this little house on the Perugian hill…
…Go here. You will not only see the room and personal belongings but also Meredith Kercher’s bloody neck. Indeed, the televised images shocked Meredith’s family:
The family of Meredith Kercher, the British student murdered in Italy, expressed their horror after a graphic video of her corpse was broadcast on Italian television. The images, which were recorded by forensic police as they gathered evidence, were shown during a documentary about unsolved crimes on Telenorba 7, a local television network in the southern state of Puglia. Raffaele Sollecito, 24, one of the three suspects in the case, is from Bari in Puglia.
As for the Italian television programmers:
Anna Maria Ferretti, the director of Antenna Sud, a leading Italian television programme in the south, said: “For five minutes of television, the ultimate taboo has been broken without any shame.”Enzo Magistà, the editor of the television programme, said: “When I decided to transmit the images of Meredith’s corpse, I did not have the least intention of violating anyone’s dignity, but merely to do my job with respect to an important event.”

This obsession of yours is getting unhealthy, Charles. "Come see the bloody neck!" You're beginning to come off like some American sensationalist journalist.
Have you ever watched Italian TV?
This is pretty typical, IMHO. I'm surprised they didn't turn it into a literal carnival ...
tabloid journalist chaz!
ziggity, two words: wilkie collins. his two big novels, moonstone and woman in white, inspire me endlessly.
If you think this is going to be In Cold Blood 2, it's not.
There is nothing interesting about Ms. Knox.
Have we no shame? This is the second video of a corpse I've seen recently (the first being a video of JFK's autopsy). After viewing this video, I whole heartedly agree with the traditional ban of corpses on camera. It adds no useful information and is simply voyeuristic.
Why am I tempted into viewing these things? My life was so much better before viewing this, yet I could not stop myself. This is clear evidence that people cannot make good decisions for themselves. Although, I did not view the 2 girls 1 cup video. I'm sort of proud about that.
Please, do not tempt me by posting these sorts of videos. It really ruins my day.
Why isnt chaz out covering local stories on a fine day like today? Why is he allowed to stay indoors posting on the slog about sensationalist crap that would appear in the back pages of Us Weekly?
Tasteful!
let me say it again: CREEPY.
not endlessly inspiring.
CREEPY.
File under: None Of Our Business. Charles, this leaves behind standard pseudo-intellectualism and becomes creepy fanaticism.
What, no scratch'n'sniff panel of the rotting corpse? Pretty lazy reporting there, Charles.
Damn cute little house though. I lived in a dump in Florence. I knew various kids that lived in huge places with character that were way cheaper than housing in Seattle though.
Of course they lived on the 6th floor with no elevators though. That'd be good for me now though. I should stop taking the elevator.
