Name Tags??!! What sort of nerdfest is this supposed to be?

nametags are essential so you accurately identify the s.o.b Slogger who's been pissing you off for months, prior to slugging them in the mouth/'nads.

It would be heighth of rudeness to bitch slap Mr Poe if your intended target was Fnarf or vice versa.

Also, nametags are helpful to associate a name with the Slogger you inevitably end up taking home with you for a night of passionate, sweaty, multiple orgasm inducing lovemaking.

*Sigh!*

All I ever get to do is just talk to people...

I assume social skills are not required. What about pants?

@7: Normally there is a review process, determining how fit your legs/butt are...but hell, pants are optional anyway, so go for it.

Question One: Where was Sven? Big Sven, to be specific. Where was he? He was missed, sorely missed in fact.

Question Two: Who has more class than Original Monique? Nobody, that's who. Thank you, OM, for making the rest of us look better than we are.

Question Three: Where was Sven? I guess I didn't get the memo. I was looking forward to seeing Big Sven. I wanted him to tell me about his bike, and so on. But there you go: Sven, none. Didn't see him.

I told Dominic Holden that he really should look out for tsm; hopefully he would have the pleasure of meeting this clever dude. Then... There he was. In the flesh. Like magic.

Hugz, everyone. Each of you.

Any chance these things will ever be held on a Wednesday? Some of us have prior engagements on Thursdays...

Posted by Greg | April 11, 2008 8:41 AM

ha! well, i got kicked out and i wasn't even drunk. of course, as the only one in the VIP room, i was going to leave anyways. where did everyone go. oh well, maybe next time... again.

I loved seeing Mr. Poe and Monique, as always, but the highlight of the evening was meeting Aislinn because she is basically the best. Also, Will in Seattle thought I was pregnant and asked me if I "knew the gender of the baby yet" wtfwtfwtf. That was not a highlight.

Sidebar with Aislinn; Bellevue Ave left his phone at home (stop the presses, right?!) and that is why we used mine.

LOL@26

Great seeing all you fine folk again, if only for a brief shining moment. Until next month ...

Infrequent: It's called a "Slog Happy" because it's a happy hour, what kind of happy hour is still going at 9? Also, I was sad that you weren't there. And sorry I didn't text you back. I was drunk.

This is a dead thread, so I don't expect anyone to read this, but I want to say that I like Elenchos about 347 times more now that I've met him, which is roughly 346 times more than I expected to. Who'd have guessed he was actually, like, nice?

Also, I was totally, unnecessarily rude to Will/HA. I'm honestly sorry, that was the gin talking.

Mikki: He remembered my phone number??? I don't even know my mom's phone number, that is crazy.

Posted by Aislinn | April 11, 2008 10:15 AM

No, I remembered it because I saw it one time. I have a ridiculously excellent memory, in a kind of scary way.

Aw, I wish I'd been there but the husband spent 14.5 hours working on a recalcitrant server at work yesterday, and when I showed up to pick him up he was only on hour ten.

I'd hoped for drunk texts from O.Mo but her phone died. Sad face! Instead I actually did homework like a damn adult.

ha! aislin! i get confused when the happy hour starts at six and goes past seven... suddenly, "hour" seems strangely relative and my limited frame of reference regarding slog happy experiences impairs my judgment. but, yeah, i suppose nine is a little late. last time i stopped by "early" and no one was there yet, so this time i just thought it would go and go.

i'm glad everyone had a good time, though, and i'll try again next month.
