So by cleaning itself up it went from "mediocre" to "shitty"? I think I'll stay away from the taco trucks you deem to be "good".

It became "shitty" when I was told by, like, 4 people that I was too easy on them. They were right.

That place is terrible.

I know, I know. I'm the world's biggest dick. It's not like a provided any viable, independently owned alternatives or anything.

I'm not going to give a business a break if they make shitty food just because they're independent.

I was so happy last night when I found out they had reopened. I got a bravo burrito and it was delicious!!!

I have never gotten food poisoning there... maybe some of you pussies just can't handle spicy food.

Fuck you, Jonah. I am the biggest dick in the world. You can't hold a, uh, candle to my dickishness (dickitude?) when I'm on a roll (hoagie?). Christ, you're barely a minor annoyance in comparison.

Since you gave them a shitty review and they don't advertise with the Stranger there is no harm done right?

I actually really liked the food there. And I've ordered tamales from them by the dozen; they aren't bad at all.

Jonah@3: Way to think for yourself, buddy! You not being in front of me in line for a delicious burrito served by cool people three blocks from my house does not make me sad. Enjoy Chipotle.

Has that taco truck been operating for more than three months?!

I have eaten at the Rancho Bravo taco truck many, many times.

I have always been delighted at the quality and authenticity of their food, and also with the value for the price.

I have never had any difficulty with my health as a result of eating their.

I am aware that many who spend their time on this website prefer white table cloths or Taco Time, in between trolling the internet looking for something to trash talk about.

Fuck you. Get a life. If you don't like the food, fine. But you can do real harm to a business by creating internet chatter among the code monkeys who ought to be doing their jobs in the cube farm. If you don't like Rancho Bravo just steal somebody's lunch out of the break room again.

Dicks.

Doing real harm to businesses kicks fucking ass.

Most of the posts when it closed were positive about the food. I guess your 4 friends know better. I think that place is great. Easy, open late, not Dick's, authentic mexican, has horchata, always good.

There aren't very many taco truck alternatives in the neighborhood. I'm not going to drive or ride a bus to White Center or the Rainier Valley for $1 tacos. Rancho Brava is fine for what it is.

jonah, sure. you are a real hero standing up for your right to call out bad food despite the fact that they are independent. whatever.

my point is this:

NO ONE FUCKING ASKED YOUR OPINION!

you have gone out of your way to cause harm to this business. no one asked what you think about the quality of the food. it wasnt an assignment. you just posted it to be awesome and different and controversial.

and you have no palate. this place rules.

1. Anyone, who thinks this is the best Mexican place (or even Taco Truck) in Seattle is suspect.

2. Anyone who thinks this place is terrible is even more suspect.

There is absolutely no legitimate basis for that sort of high volume snark about this place. It mostly just marks you as a person of completely untrustworthy culinary judgment. Of course, you're probably one of those people who thinks the Honey Hole has good sandwiches (Wow, a Quizno's with a full bar).

Rancho Brava is what it is: a serviceable taco stand. I have happily gone there sometimes 3 or 4 times in a week. The food there has always agreed with me.

Today, I paid $2.25 for a taco at Tacos Guyamas on Broadway. It was bigger but not particularly better than the tacos at Rancho Brava.

It's true that the Burritos at RB often have a loose wrap, which can be a drag. But given the price, I can live with that.

RB makes a great contribution to the neighborhood. It's a shame to see it dismissed by someone who seems very much without a clue.

And if RB is tacos for drunk white people, then why do there always seem to be Spanish speakers in line ordering food every time I go there?

I doubt those folks think it's the best place in Seattle either. But they must also see it for what it is: Good food for a really good price.

@ 18—
I don't need to defend my posts to some douche on a message board. That being said, you're getting waaaaaay too worked up about a fairly benign post. Don't be an idiot.

Love,

Jonah

Bigger is BY DEFINITION not better when it comes to tacos. Tiny, tiny tacos, how I love you. If you need more, have more. They don't make me weep like real Mexican tacos in Mexico can, but they're pretty good.

I've worked in plenty of restaurants and if folks really knew what went on in the kitchens of most restaurants we'd all be eating at home.

I just had dinner at La Carta De Oxaca. For $9 my dinner entree nuked the living balls out of your tex mex greasy roadside shit taco. Like on a scale of 1 to 10 my real Mexican food was a 10 and your shit roach coach taco was a 0. Thank God for the fucking health department. Who do I call to increase the health inspector budget?

Are there any Taco Del Mars around anymore? The ones I used to go to both closed.
