If someone actually has the guts/balls to tag the space needle like that, we need to leave it up there.

SPOILER ALERT This image is from Dark Angel - the last TV series I watched.

I never watched enough to 'get' that show. Mostly what I remember was that it wasn't as cool as Pretender.

Jessica Alba was/is hot.

But Battlestar Galactica is better. As is Reaper, another show about Seattle, filmed in Vancouver ...

P.S. Does the Space Needle actually tower over the Belltown high rises that much? The perspective seems off. Maybe in the future they put the Space Needle on risers. I've always wondered how long the city will be able to keep the high rise development away from the Space Needle and keep it the tallest building in such a large radius.

P.S.S. Why is practically every Seattle skyline photo taken from Queen Anne? Seriously, stupidest angle ever. This is why idiot out-of-towners think the Space Needle is the tallest structure in Seattle.

That's actually a pretty accurate perspective. Alan J. Pakula's 1974 political thriller "The Parallax View" includes a scene taken from almost exactly that same perspective, which looks almost exactly the same (I'd post a link, but SLOG only allows one per comment - look up "parallax view shooting scene" on YouTube and you should be able to view a clip that includes the shot.)

Actually, the view from Queen Anne (usually shot from Kerry Park) is so popular mainly because it also captures Mt. Rainier in the background.

For the record, Alki offers a much better perspective of the downtown core.
