I just talked to the real estate agent again, and while he would not give information about the buyer, he did confirm that the site will no longer be a church. That is all.... There are a few churches that have become condos here. There is a synagogue across the street from me that became condos in the 80's and won design awards when converted. A church or old school has better architecture than most poorly built condos anyway so it is no big deal. It is just a building being saved. What else would it become a dance club. Probably not Seattle would not let that happen again.

This church has been poorly maintained and in recent years has given little back to the neighborhood. There have been several Townhouse projects in the neighborhood - some good and some not so great. We have a bunch of Apartment buildings being built in upper Pike-Pike. Then we have a few unbuilt Condo buildings that are up for sale or stalled due to the economy.

I'm waiting to see the proposal for this project - whatever it may turn out to be.
