Okay. Okay. I’m Voting for Barack Obama.

posted by on April 3 at 14:39 PM

God damn, this is the best organizing stunt ever. Sign me up.

In order to qualify to play 3-on-3 with Barack, all registration forms must be turned in by April 6th at your local Obama office and you must register at least 20 high school students.

P.s. Calbert Cheaney, who’s quoted at the end of the post, was the only good thing about the Washington Wizards in the 1990s.

@4 wouldn't that mean he was a Canadian? Will in Seattle is not going to take that insult lying down.

Calbert had one of the sweetest jump shots ever. I still tear up thinking about it.

The Obama campaign can talk about his basketball skills; anyone else does it and that would be racism. So it's cool.

In related news, Obama announced he was going deer hunting in the Monongahela valley this weekend, followed by paint ball and ORVing, capped by a "Tasting tour" at the Genneessee beer plant. "Gennessee, Gennessee, ain't no beer I'd rather pee....." he crooned, to the tune of an old Grateful Dead song. "I'll try anything to better understand these Jacksonians, a/k/a 'rednecks,' here in Greater Dogpatch," he said. "They just don't got 'em back at the University of Chicago, or anywhere on the South Side. At least, anything where you don't keep score."

Yes, but what about bowling? You know, for Chris Matthews' "regular" people?

Posted by bobbo | April 3, 2008 4:04 PM

Bowling? Um, Barack Obama already got endorsed for President by the top Pennsylvanian sports paper ...

how's that unification of the democratic party going, unPC? any luck yet?

Hunting? Obama? Never gonna happen. God forbid, he might get - gasp! - dirt under his fingernails.

@11,

Or he might look as stupid as Kerry did.

Look, POTUS will never, ever, need to get dirt under his/her fingernails. That's what laborers do, not the leader of the free world. Heck, if having dirt under the fingernails was a Presidential qualification, we'd be limited to voting only for migrant workers....wait 2nd generation migrant workers.

Who the hell gets dirt under their fingernails anymore? If you do, you ain't gonna be President.

how exactly does one get dirt under their fingernails from hunting?

@5. No. That's Hoser. Hoosier is someone from Indiana, yo. Like me.

@14, obviously, you've never been hunting.

obviously? no, you would be wrong.

i don't know, maybe if you're hunting badgers or ground hogs? but generally deer hunting involves hiding in a box for hours at a stretch.

I'll take him hunting, I used to hunt quail and pheasant when I was 7 in PA, right near where he was last night.

It's not that hard, you just need a good dog.

besides, i call bullshit on unPC's comment. deer season is in the fall.

Unless they've changed the law since I was there (which is entirely possible), deer season on private property in PA is whenever you want it to be. And most of my hunting has involved lots of tromping through the woods, many times even crawling. Often for several days at a time. Not exactly clean stuff. Will has it right, though. Given my druthers, I'll take bird hunting every time.

"I’m Voting for Barack Obama"

In the caucus we already had? Were you going to vote for McCain or something?

"i call bullshit on unPC's comment"

That goes without saying, brandon.

Lest Brandon think I'm a kook, I should explain that hunting in Colorado is not like hunting most other places. Lots of wide-open spaces. As a consequence, long shots are the norm, rather than the exception. My rifle is zeroed at 200 yards, and a 300-yard shot is hardly unusual.

UnPC, fear the day when poor white America and poor black America look at each other and mistake it for a mirror, and bury you.

As a Temple Owl fan, I hate the Hoosiers, and wish Bobby Knight a painful death, but here are my favorite Hoosiers:

Calbert Cheaney
Walt Bellamy
George McGinnis
Isaiah Thomas
