I don't think the sound engineer's fit was worth posting about, really, but it does sound like it sort of ruined your night so that's lame.

I think someone needs to tell Eric the owner of the High Dive that his sound engineer just scared away potential customers, because people might not go there if they read Josh's post and think it's an unfriendly place, which is certainly not.

The high dive has always been very friendly when i've been there....if i banned neighborhoods based on one person at one bar being unfriendly i wouldn't get out much.

Fremont, however, has no movie theater, drug store, bank, or place to buy Nyquil, Band-Aids or any other regular medicine for starters. Driving to Ballard for Neosporin is just stupid, but that's our little village for ya. I still like it.

A new shop has opened in the same location mostly using the same old SUBS recipes. They use regular ham instead of the boutique stuff SUBS used, but they fill their shoes pretty well otherwise.

Back on topic, if you're gonna be a weenie (as the sound guy definitely was), don't lie to justify it - there are no health department rules against bringing in outside food into clubs (at least that I'm aware of).

The place of work is a bar. They serve food. They serve beer. The place smells like that already. I don't think your "how would I like it if..." really works so well.

Also, the guy didn't clean up after us. We hadn't left yet. We were still hanging out, and certainly would have thrown out the wrappers ourselves.

Of course, I've been to Fremont b4. (Just never noticed the Sandwich shop.) It's a great bike ride over from Capitol Hill. The BF Day courts are great, but I'm sad the Sonic Boom is closed.

The place I've never been before (and want to check out...mostly for the great name) is the Buckaroo up on 42nd.

We wanted fast and to-go, so we could get back and see my friend's band. They were about to start.

Otherwise, sure we would have gotten Thai.

@39 - you can rent videos, Pioneer Bank is in Fremont (ATMs for BofA at Adobe, Red Door, 7-11 (free for credit unions), the bodega at the end of my block, cash back at PCC and many places), deli at PCC (fast check out next to bakery), regular medicine at PCC (or you can get Western style medicine in Freelard). What a whiner ...
