Obama Gets That Dirt Off His Shoulders

posted by on April 17 at 17:30 PM

Snatched almost whole-cloth from Matt Yglesias: Barack Obama today managed to criticize the ABC debate while also subliminally channeling Jay Z—which must be a campaign first.

Check out Obama at about 2:20.

And now, Jay-Z:

Not only were two of my posts--the first criticizing Dan's earlier jingoism and the second saying that the current Dembacle is the result of manufactured diversity blocs--deleted outright, but so was a response to one of them by somebody else (McCain/Crist 08). In other words, my posts *never existed*. Good job, Winston Smith! I've read posts by ecce homo that were racist as hell that were left up; where's *your* consistency, SLOG? If I'm a moonbat, then I'm a moonbat--the posts should speak for themselves. I used to think you guys were libertarians in liberals' clothing, but now I think you are fascists. I've had it. I'm voting for McCain.

Total esprit d'escalier. If only he had pulled that smooth operator shit out of his ass during the actual debate last night. Still and all, this makes me ten kinds of happy.

I couldn't help but feel like there was some Cosby channeling there too.

And @1: It sure sounds like plenty in the audience thought the same thing. THAT was subliminal, if anything.

"And I have to say, Senator Clinton... she looked, looked in her element, uhhm..."

[scratches side of face with middle finger absent-mindedly]

[crowd on that side starts hooting]

Thank you Slog. I had forgotten how good Jay-Z really is. If only we could get some Nas flavor up in here.
