this is what 30 years of think tank conservatism has wrought.

mcdermott is not as slick or smart as we deserve. if we're going to send a democrat to DC with 80% support, we deserve the loudest, smartest, leftest, most irritating, ballsiest congressional rep who ever lived. someone to confuse & enrage boehner & his ilk on a daily basis.

i'm looking at YOU, savage.

Max Solomon @ 3:

John Boehner is what *you* deserve. I'm proud to have Jim representing me.

I'm with 6 - I am proud of Jim.

@ 3: "we deserve the loudest, smartest, leftest, most irritating, ballsiest congressional rep who ever lived. someone to confuse & enrage boehner & his ilk on a daily basis."

You already have most of your criteria in Jim. He is hularious, irritates the hell out of the GOP, and many consider him one, if not THE most liberal member serving in the House.

And as for irritating the hell out of Boehner. Let's just say - Jim does that quite nicely. For example: Do you know anyone else that would waltz into Boehner's office this year - walk past Boehner's staff and start giving his office staff a tour of Boehner's office (????) - I kid you not...that did actually happen, and Boehner's staff was stunned that Jim actually had the gall to do it.

Jim has a great sense of humor and we need him more than ever in Congress.

Interesting fact - most people who have large fines - and corporations - never pay them.

At all.

In fact, 90 percent of such fines that are paid, are only partially paid.

Why? Because the rich write the rules, not the people who aren't rich.
