Carly Fiorina?!

The person who's best known for totally, thoroughly, and single-handedly fucking up Hewlett-Packard until they finally rode her ass out of town on a gasp-inducing $21 million severance payment?

She seems more like Bush Administration material to me.

Yeah, it seems like she could only do harm to the ticket, given her record at H-P. So ... bring it on.

She would be fucking cancer to his campaign. So would Charlie-the-Homo Crist, for that matter. Surely he can do better than this.

If Obama is the nominee, it will be Crist. Or, preferably, if Hillary is the nominee, it will be Rice. The GOP finally breaks the Dems' grip on the African American vote. AAs respect Rice, unlike Clarence Thomas.

My old consulting firm did a bunch of work for Carly/HP and she was not terribly impressive. Seemed like a marketing expert who couldn't run a company. Just one worker bee's opinion, though...

It's an interesting idea in theory, but in practice, her performance as CEO wasn't exactly stellar, so I imagine it would be a liability.

So what will they call this - the Double Failure ticket? Or Debt and More Debt?

Friends don't let friends vote Red.

In the immortal words of an HP investor discussion board commenter: Carly's an empty suit held up by bullshit. One reason I oppose Hillary is Carly's performance as HP CEO -- she had no clue what to do, misunderstood the culture and set out to destroy it, and when her contract was expiring, pulled the Compaq rabbit out of the hat to give her three more years, ignoring the cost to stockholders and employees.

Congratulations. Acknowledging your sexism is the first step towards moving beyond it.

mccain should use his vp slot to try to appeal to voters where he lacks appeal. so a liberal choice, such as lieberman, wouldn't make much sense, as mccain is already popular among independents. plus lieberman is old, too, and probably less popular than mccain.

mccain needs to appeal to the more conservative part of the repub base. romney, though slick and young, might be a good choice. despite being morman, and not a protestant, he did better than huckabee in the primary. but i think huckabee would bring more of the christian right to the polls.

choosing someone like rice might serve him best. she's very conservative, which is where mccain needs to focus on. having a minority on your ticket would also make running against a non-white-male dem candidate easier for an old white man.
