You guys should have seen Uwe when he was here in Seattle at PAX last year. It was something else (and I don't mean that in a good way).

I didn't think anybody bothered to notice him @ PAX. Most of the events are totally gay, anyway.

Until I saw that video, I never realized his whole schtick was just a put-on, a goof like an Andy Kaufman character. I've worked in the local videogame industry for 15 years and you couldn't pay me to see a movie based on a videogame. Never have, never will.

He has a point about Bay, though.

Most movies are shit because they're boring and/or incompetently made. Uwe Boll doesn't make shit movies. He makes the kind of movies you would make if you went to film school in Bizzaro world. They exist in a parallel universe where bad is good, sense is nonsense, and Stephen Dorff is a good actor. If you can't exand your mind to enjoy Boll's artistic levels of badness, you clearly have no soul.

P.S. Michael Bay doesn't make movies, he makes porn for those who get off on slow motion and explosions. Hell, I jack it to Bad Boys 2 all the time.

Uwe Boll owes his directorial existance to a German tax loophole. I very much look forward to the loophole closing.
