Klaus Nomi played between sets and The Swedish Housewife opened the night with stories of a Seattle past, when Joey had green hair, and The Vogue was still on First Avenue... Joey played a few shows back then at ReBar along with friends he had in Seattle. He also played many shows in Vancouver Canada at Graceland along with John Sex and Lady Bunny. I did all the lighting and sets for the stage when he preformed so it was fun to work with him. He was fun to hang out with. Did not realize he was in Seattle, too bad I would have gone to see him.

I saw a show with Joey Arias, John Sex, and Phoebe Legere at a club in Philadelphia in 1988 - right after Mondo New York came out. It was mind-blowing to my 18-year-old self.
