I didn't even know there were lyrics, plots, or celebrities. But I wouldn't have cared either. I just liked all the pretty colors flashing before my eyes on the TV screen, which I would sit a foot from in those days and most likely damaged my vision (I wear contacts).

Oh, and I got a couple of Christmas presents out of it too: the Jem doll, the blue haired doll, and the Jem car.
