John McCain tried to head off the inevitable upcoming racist campaign that we're probably going to be subjected to soon, by making a speech in Memphis to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the MLK assassination. He spent a good part of the speech trying to apologize for opposing an MLK Day for years and years, while the crowd booed the bejesus out of him. The best part was that he had a black guy holding an umbrella over his head through the entire speech…

@7,

Just delete his comments. Delete every single thing he posts, even relatively neutral comments. Above all, delete his whining about his comments being deleted.

That pathetic motherfucker deserves no consideration whatsoever.

Riz, no one can see or hear him. He's not there. Every time Eccer posts he focuses more attention on the things he hates, which in this case is the decency of a great man. That's what I'm thinking about, not post #2.

Oh,

BTW

I think a holiday dedicated to a noted philanderer and adulterer, who was also a communist, is not cool at all.

There is also the rumour that he had a little thing for young boys.

Sorry to speak ill of the dead, but at least look at the whole person.

OK, now come the deletions.

It must be nice to simply live in a world where everyone agreed with you...

Wow Erica,

It didn't take you long did it.

I only wish someone would delete your useless posts.

@16,

Shut the fuck up.

You are a pathetic, useless waste. The world is not responsible for the fact that no one, gay/straight, male/female, wants to fuck you. Your hatefulness, your worthlessness, your very essence as a non-human being is responsible for that.

Just shut up.

It isn't my fault that the myth has overtaken the man.

MLK was a very flawed man. His personal religious beliefs (which alone parallell Hutch and would make him a source of mockery from 99% of the stranger staff, including ECB) aside, his views on communism is well known. The man appreciated a system which killed hundreds of millions of people. Hardly an idol to me.

When I heard about the pederasty, I was shocked, but it does kind of fit.

Erica, why are you posting about some "Christian Male" anyway?

I'd like to comment on the information provided in the deleted posts, but I can't, because they've been deleted. I'd probably disagree, and make some statements, but I'm not able to. Really, Slog, suppressing speech that others may not agree with? WWMLKD?

Deleting comments? Lame. C'mon guys, I know Ecce is a degenerate low-life, but isn't that a bit much?

I have a sort of basic IT question regarding trolls like ecce homo. Can the Stranger's IT wizards see what the IP address of EH's posts are? If so, you could compare it to the IP addresses of other posts... if it's unique, it doesn't do you much good, but if it's the same as one of the regular posters, then you would know who he is. Whether you chose to reveal that or not is another topic (not sure of the ethics of that), but at least you'd know.

Note that I am not a computer geek so this question could be completely nonsensical. I apologize to the IT wizards, if so.

I've never heard ANYONE, EVER, claim MLK was perfect. But he was good. He cared enough to stand up for the overworked, underpaid garbage workers in Memphis. He put his life on the line to give them hope and a reason to keep going.
The world is better because of him.
We could all learn from his example: Life's too short to listen to the naysayers. (You know who you are.)

#23, what's even worse, and I'm sad to admit is cleverly pointed out by ecce homo, is that they are completely inconsistent in applying the criteria they use to delete comments.

Please, who cares about myths generated by the FBI (or not)...

I don't care what he (or any person) did with his genitalia. I care what he did with his mind, and MLK did a great many things.

Keep your eyes on the prize, everybody.

#26, theoretically, yes. Lots of reasons why this might not work, though.

1) He is not an alter ego at all

2) He uses lots of different proxies to post to Slog

3) He uses a common dial up service or DSL and his IP address is constantly changing. If you dial up to AOL, for example, your IP will come from a large block like XXX.XXX.*.* every time you dial up. Lots of other posters probably use that service, so matching him to someone would be impossible. Banning thathis IP block would also ban those people. This is true even with a static IP service like Comcast because it's actually pretty trivial to get your IP re-issued.

Considering they claim they can't ban him, I'm thinking it's something along the lines of #3 (and I happen to believe #1 is true as well).

@33,

Shut the fuck up.

Everything you say is projection. Your behavior in this forum is evidence of your complete and utter worthlessness.

You are the one who can't get laid.

You are the one who isn't going anywhere.

You are the fascist.

You are the one who needs to shut the fuck up.

E. H.:
Erica does not delete your posts. It's the site administrators' time that is wasted cleaning up your poo piles, but we are also busy with productive projects. If we had more time, we'd remove more of your racist, bitter, and hate-filled rants, which reflect poorly on the entire Slog community. We would ban you if we could, but your IP is a popular one and who knows how many decent humans we'd block if we did. I think I speak for all of us at Slog when I say, fuck off and die.

@35,

I love you.

But since #33 was deleted, I'll just point out that my comment @34 is a direct repudiation of everything he said about ECB (in case my comment seems a little out of nowhere).

@30 - I wasn't necessarily suggesting banning him, just uncovering his identity. Or rather, whether he was an alter ego of another Slogger or not (an important distinction). But, you're probably right in that if they can't ban him, they don't know his IP address or your #3 is right.

I don't care if he's banned or not, since he's such an obvious troll (i.e., posts only to get attention). But, if I were on the Stranger's staff, I would be interested in knowing whether he was an alter ego (perhaps of someone who might have attended one of those Slog bar events) or a lone crazy.

Thanks for the explanation...

You know, I guess ecce homo doesn't really bother me because I work from the assumption that no one could possibly believe what he says, so it's all an entirely fabricated persona, just to get attention. That may or may not be true, but it's what I choose to believe. Given that assumption, it's hard to see him as anything other than sad.

"The Admins" are not really the admin's. Sockpuppetry at it's finest.

AKH has always been fair and posts under her real name. "The Admins" are just some other tool stirring the pot.

Oh, and only my posts that call ECB to the carpet for the crap she rights gets deleted.

Typo...my bad...

It actually be..."she wrongs".

Can we get an ID check on "The Admins"?

If they are not the real admins, they should be banned for the worst kind of sock puppetry.

If they are in fact "Admins" then their obvious bias against certain commenters is disgusting and should frighten everyone here that actually has a conscience.

Was MLK flawed?
Hell, my sweet mother is flawed. The love of my life can be a total jaw clenching ass.

I have always believed Jesus was giving John head, and fucking Mary. Flawed?

Somehow you all need to deal with the concept about life that has flawed humanity, your own and other at its center.

On another topic, multiple posts here sound the same, I think Stranger staff and friends post a lot under many names - like under funded small stages. So and so playing six walk on roles ... I do not support any form of censorship ... ever.

The pen name is an ancient concept. Slog needs to keep it against the pressure of the neo conservatives so afraid of something.....horrible .... other people not like them.

Hey Kesh,

If you get on craigslist, you might find some guys who are into fat chicks, so you could get lucky. That might do you some good. After all, it wouldn't make you any less of a wannabe lesbian to get a little pole from time to time.

Posted by ecce homo | April 4, 2008 10:54 PM

Shorter ecce @ 46:

I'm such a pathetic waste I can't even think of decent insults to take down my superiors. As usual I have to resort to the old lesbian stereotype. Since my mommy didn't love me (and who can blame her, I'm completely useless), I attack all women everywhere. It's everyone else's fault that I'm a stupid fuck!

Posted by keshmeshi | April 4, 2008 11:29 PM

No Kesh,

I was just using your words from other sites.

You claim to be a fat lesbian.

Are you a stereotype?

Kesh = hero, ecco = zero.

Watching ecco demanding deletions is like watching a thuggish Italian soccer player waving his arms for the penalty. It's pathetic. You're scum, ecco, total garbage, and you've never contributed a SINGLE THING to this forum. Ever. Why are you even here? You have nothing to say. Come on, moderators, FLUSH.

Funny Fnarf,

It must be hard to sit in your retired little world, high on AARP rhetoric and upset that the world has advanced around you. You have to come on SLOG to be a "someone". Now you are a self declared moderator determining the value of various posters.

Well sir, you are the worst kind of internet personality. One that thinks they are worth something and that everyone must love them.

Now isn't time to go change your "Depends" and have another glass of prune juice?
