Why not just make it illegal to be too thin, or too fat for that matter? Is the role of government to determine what a "normal" human being looks like? I've seen first hand the devastating effects of our media's obsession with body image but this law is idiotic.

does this mean we can go back to calling fries "french fries" instead of freedom fries because they don't incite extreme thinness?

Does this mean that all French women will now have to opt for the Olsen-Twin-Bergen-Belsen look"? Hyper-thyroid bug eyes stuck on a construction of popsicle sticks? How attractive, not to say fashionable, is that? As a gay man, I have trouble understanding the allure these social X-rays have on straight men.
Or is skeletal androgyny the new I-love-women-but-I-wanna-fuck-boys sin-thing?

@3:

Of course you have trouble. You're gay. Would you be attracted to women if they all looked like Kirstie Alley?

If there's a such a huge problem with thin women in France that they have to pass a law to prevent it, then I'm moving. I'd rather live in a country where 10% of the population is anorexic, than where 40% are obese.
