Media I Am Against Violence in All Its Forms

onNevertheless, I enjoyed finding this photo on the Seattle Times website, accompanying Lynn Thompson’s report on the controversy surrounding Mount Si High School’s Day of Silence in support of gay and lesbian students, strenuously protested by anti-gay warrior Rev. Ken Hutcherson.

(Also, the guy holding the sign is identified as 20-year-old John Sawyer; if you know him, please give him my regards.)
P.S. Don’t throw rocks.

Is that you in the middle?
@1: That would be awesome. Hutch looks up and sees the sign and then it's: "Hold me back, Schmader! Hold me back!"
I was thinking that it might be a great protest to get a bunch of men together who follow Hutch around and hold doors open for him. What if he wanted to go somewhere, and the only way in was by going through a door held by a strapping young man with a lascivious smile?
Would he really beat them up? If not, and he was photographed walking through such a door, then this would be proof of his tolerance.
I am firmly of the non-violent camp. MLK. Ghandi. Violence leads to more violence. All that crap.
But the man did threaten to tear off the arm of any guy who held a door open for him, and beat the guy with the wet end. So, you know, if ever there was a guy who needed a rock thrown at him, the good Rev., Dr., Special Envoy, Prayer Warrior Hutch is probably high on the list.
I liked this picture better:

Three pro-gay signs: "Being gay is OK!", "I support gays", and the more questionable but funny-as-hell "Lesbians turn me on!"
@5's link to another photo also shows the the extent of Hutcherson's cowardice: the caption points out that he was attended by bodyguards, not just supporters, but bodyguards. If he actually believes he needs them he clearly suffers from delusions of grandeur. Even MLK didn't go around with bodyguards. Hutcherson continually uses violent metaphors. The "throw rocks here" placard is clearly a joke but you know he will be making a big deal out of his potential martyrdom. The man is both a moral and physical coward.
He's profiting from hate. A very "Christian" thing to do. But in no way should anyone threaten him with violence.
You do not want to make a martyr of this guy. Let him destroy himself.
well, if history teaches us anything, he will probably be caught with his pants down (privately indulging in the very "sin" he is so publicly outspoken against) sometime in the near future. his destruction is inevitable
