Even when she's trying to be funny, she's... not.

It's not a joke if you have to tell everyone it is. Her campaign is the joke.

I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of her dead-pan.

according to her bad analogy, wouldn't spotting obama two frames be FL and MI?

it's a pretty good deadpan, yes, but it is also a sexist attack on obama. she makes it sound like it's in good fun... but sexism is good fun? i don't think so.

Imagine this kind of cheese from the White House every day for four years. The point of getting rid of Bush is to at least not be embarrassed every time your President says anything.

smash a boweling ball in her face and shove a pin up her ass

I think it's cute, and I didn't know Obama was a lefty.

She must have recently found a sense of humor between her couch cushions.

Linus? No.

I agree. It is time for Obama to get out the gutter.

All I'm gonna say is the pins are white and the balls are black.

Oh, uh, I was (cough) joking...

@8

It's spelled bowling ball.

A boweling ball... well, I think that would be a dance at Club Z.

Wait till you hear her next "prank" - she's going to announce she's continuing her campaign and will keep using McCain/Bush 08 attack ads sent to her campaign staffers to run against Obama.

Man, that's funny ...

@15 -

Oh, yes, the boweling ball incident ... that was unpleasant for all concerned.

linus, you have some issues. Please work them out before commenting again.

OMG OBAMA CAN'T BOWL?!?!?!!! Call the Super delegates I want to change my vote. We simply can't have a president that doesn't love to bowl, play horseshoes, vacation on his ranch in Texas and shoot some critters. If Obama doesn't "man-up" I say we call off the election and just let Gee-Dubya keep running the place.

Because as we can see from our current political situation all manly men are great presidents. And being able to bowl well proves your a man.

But the REAL test is--can Obama clear brush from his ranch? (Oh, and set a record for the most vacation days.)

The deadpan delivery was good, but I think she should have ended it after saying "I'm challenging him to a bowl-off." All the puns were shit (get it out of the gutter? what? has he been the one doing that?), and the ending ("Happy April fool's day everyone!") was total cheese.

The absolute absurdity of calling a press conference to announce a bowl-off and leaving would have been much better.

Posted by Jason Petersen | April 1, 2008 1:54 PM

How many children is that bowl-off going to feed? While you bowl, 32 million Americans will continue to go without health care!

Hello? Hello? Is this thing on...?

All I care about is will they sing a duet of "Bomb Iran" ...

@19,

Also, a real man clears brush during his vacation, even or especially when he's wealthy enough to pay someone else to do it. Relaxing on vacation is for pussies!!!

The only thing that keeps this from being every bit as maddeningly stupid as any George Bush speech is that she was able to speak in complete sentences.

@25 - word.

Let's face it, both Clinton and Obama are much more qualified to be President than McCain/Bush will ever be.

the humor impaired all seem to be on Slog today.

you all need to go somewhere and puke on each other for fun... great joke, Hillary

and, # 8 - linus, take you own advice and get something up your ass. after you come, you will feel better about life

Clinton should work on her comic delivery, and Obama should remove whatever it is that he appears to store up his ass.

He's so swank looking in those shoes. He moves smoothly, the man is hip.
