Feh. A real adventure bar would have monkey brains in it.
These advertisements go way past annoying.
OMG it sounds delish.
I love your junk food posts. I have a wicked sweet tooth -- I always say my dream job would be in candy bar R&D.
thank you for guinea pigging yourself. not that i would ever eat this shit, but it's nice to know it exists and is every bit as disgusting as i would imagine.
Second #3. Your food posts on processed junk food are some of my favorite food writing on the Internets. I especially appreciate your public-service-oriented, "I'm-trying-this-so-you-don't-have-to" approach.
Also, try Japanese candy, if you can get ahold of some, like cherry-blossom-flavor Kit Kats - same exciting novelty as the curry-coconut Snickers, but higher production value.
I sentence you to two beets, one rutabaga, and a passel of parsnips for your sins.
Damn it, I like my chocolate comforting, not adventurous. Stupid candy.
It wouldn't be that surprising for it to have some curry type stuff in it - turmeric ends up in everything because it's cheap and activates your palette to other flavors. It mixes well with coconuts and peanuts, we know that from our Thai food...
Cumin is expensive but doesn't take much, and would give it kick, and is certainly curry-licious.
A touch of cardamom (expensive but intense) or saffron and you have the what I would've tried first if this were my disgusting-candy-bar experiment to perform.
Chocolate and spice is the best. Chocolate/black pepper & salt, chocolate/chile, chocolate/chile/cherry... Mmm.
where did you find it? where can i get one of those?! (in Seattle)
Snickers don't work for me since I have issues with peanuts. But I'm curious about the chocolate/spice combination. Any non-peanut candy bars out there trying something similar?
I'm still trying to find the Snickers bar that has 5 times the caffeine as a Red Bull.
