Ideally, Schultz and Bennett will spend the next twenty years dissipating their fortunes in Jarndyce and Jarndyce style, and the Sonics will have to play without salaries, using pickup squads and getting slaughtered 200-30 every night.
Oh, see I was just thinking how nice it would be to meet my peeps at Starbucks without having to grab something at Tully's or Verite on the way, and to not to then have to explain the ins and outs of Seattle basketball to my poor friends who really don't care about the Sonics (or Storm).
But I like Fnarf's Bleak House edition, too. I mean, there are plenty of places to get coffee, but significantly fewer ways to watch billionaires screw themselves.
Schultz is just trying to save face in Seattle. He's still a jackass.
Ye Gods, can't everyone just let them leave? Now?
If we aren't careful, Schultz will get them back and then, in a goodwill gesture, the state government will tax us all to build them yet another sports palace.
A good day for Sonic fans!
"How much did I get for the Sonics?"
"$350 million."
"See if we can't get them back for $200."
Nobody in Seattle cares anymore.
And we still hate him.
