This is almost as bad as that CareerBuilder "prank" where all the women employees in a firm tell the CEO they're pregnant and ask him (legally) to keep it confidential.

Really, really bad.

I am at a total loss as to whether the latest plan to save the Sonics (live press conference on KING [ http://tinyurl.com/37d98n ], snazzy website: http://emeraldcitycenter.com/ ) is an elaborate and expensive April Fool's joke, or a very poorly timed announcement for a serious proposal:

a new venue for NBA and NHL games with a RETRACTABLE ROOF?

You're right, the city should really be spending more time crafting hilarious jokes for those of us citizens who lurk on their wesbite all day.

If you're not going to do something actually funny, why do anything at all?

Actually, I kind of liked it. Beats the usual seattle.gov homepage, which is a mess.
