Man, you mean... if I hadn't have posted this photo, no one would have noticed what was on the cover of all the National Enquirers in all the checkout lines in all the grocery stores in all the states in all of America?

Man, Slog is powerful.

Hey, I've got a few thousand pics of the married Sen McCain kissing underage women back when he was fooling around on his first wife, while she was at home with the kids ...

Any chance you'll post those, Dan? Or did Hils tell you not to do that?

"Love notes." The National Enquirer really needs to hire some new people.

Where I buy groceries the only things sold in the checkout line are Real Simple, Yoga Journal and Seattle Metropolitan.

I love how the Enquirer didn't skip a beat after Clinton left office and simply used the same play-book on Bush implying a failed marriage and infidelity consistently for the last 8 years. and it looks like they are passing on the torch.

i am just waiting to see who the Aliens from WWN endorse.

I can't believe the National Enquirer beat everybody to the punch on this one... man, FOX News must be pissed.

#10) I think you're missing a comma there.

"Slog: Now powerful, just, stupid."

Thank you for playing Slog.

Whether their marriage is troubled or blissful, Obama's wife will be a major problem for his campaign. Her "America disappoints me" attitude may seem completely normal in Seattle, but in Peoria it will not play well. She is not good at the political wife part and disowning her will be much harder than disowning Rev. Wright.

You know... this is growing on me: "Slog: Powerful, Just, Stupid." It is what we aspire to be. It really captures the spirit of this blog.

T-shirts coming soon. Thanks, Jay!

Ben Smith wrote about this last October when the Enquirer was supposedly exposing John Edwards' extramarital affair, "The Clintonite who Owns National Enquirer. Go here for the story:

That's funny, I thought that the National Enquirer was a distraction tool of the CIA, since founder Generoso Pope was a CIA "psy war" man merely a year before he acquired the Enquirer.

Has Slog become part of the Grand Wurlitzer too? Inquiring minds want to--AAAaaiiiiii!

Dang, now the Pulitzer Committee is going to have to give those intrepid investigative journalists over at the Enquirer ANOTHER award.

Given they've already won so many, the Committee should just retire the category.

I read the article at lunch. It's hilarious...basically, they claim that Michelle Obama said "you better not have any skeletons in your closet and if you do you better tell me right now."

Has anyone else (Dan?) read the article?

Well has anyone seen the cover story this week on The Globe (that other trashy tabloid right next to the Enquirer)? At least the candidates are getting equal love from the tabloids, if not from Slog and the rest of the media. C'mon Slog, I wanna see this in bold.

@21....Um, duh Dan. He meant "NoT powerful, just stupid." It was a type-o, idiot. Because you said sarcastically "Man, Slog is powerful." Get it? Damn, I was gonna give you the benefit of the doubt but then you had to go and post the retarded t-shirt idea when you didn't even understand what he was saying (which was as lame as what you basically said).
