Cheap shot. It's supposed to evoke tough-guy crime and murder but it only evokes pinhead art school. It's not even as threatening as a garbage action flick.
#1 You give the image too much credit. Jen Graves, once again finds meaning in nothing. Dale Chihuly is the only real artist in this town. There are not enough real art critics in Seattle to adequately cover his greatness.
we saw this at the p. square artwalk. i walked into the gallery with my wife and 2 year old who was chatty, but not rude or loud.
you would not believe the snobby, asshole looks we got from the wine-swilling suits loitering around inside. what a pack of assholes.
i must agree with the other posts. boring. "look at me, i'm so deep" crappy hotel bed and a gun? i've seen this shot in dozens of b-movies and it wasn't even gripping and dramatic then. it looks like it fell out of some dudes pocket.
do something, ANYTHING, to make it more interesting. a curl of blond hair barely visible at the edge of the frame. a single, spent cartridge hiding in the folds. a stain in the sheet.
other than that, it was a nice sheet of plexiglass.
sincerely,
diggum
@2,
Chihuly? Ha!
Every day I take a shit that's more interesting than the entire output of Chihuly.
