Lumbar, huh?
yeah. from the lumbar yard.
Oh, my achin' back!
You sure Richard Dreyfuss didn't sculpt this out of mashed potatoes?
Oh, the irony of making a whole lot of real stumps in order to make a fake stump!
I love lumbar sculpture.
Hanging?
Don't you mean sitting? Placed? On display?
(sigh)
@4 ha! that was my first thought as well.
Is it eco-friendly?
what a waste. do you know how many paper grocery bags could have been made from that lumber? and since it's cedar, the bags would smell really nice too.
I wonder what the name references. It looks a little like the Stronghold in the southern Badlands, where the ghost dancers fled the US Army before the massacre at Wounded Knee.

Maybe it's not related, who knows.
My friends and I always pictured the "stronghold" as more of a bunker (seeing as it's accessible from the other side). Whenever I see it, I just think of putting a big machine gun on top and stopping the Red's amphibious assault coming up from Lake Union.
#1-#3 made me crap my pants.
Wow, I can see my old office in the background!
Is it me, or does the building on the right look like Garfield?
