Now if it was only made out of marzipan or better yet, bacon. then it would be snazzy. Does this mean we will see more and more condo construction based art?

I saw this a couple of weekends ago when my inamorato and I went to the Museum of Glass (which is completely awesome, btw).

While most of the pieces here didn't do much for me (construction waste was my feel for it too), I really liked "Wave."

Come on, people, seriously? That's the most tiresome, uneducated response since some jackass looked at a Pollock and said, "My kid could do that." Who knew Slog readers were so artistically conservative?

What I find tiresome is so-called artists placing a bunch of bullshit in a gallery and expecting people to accept and like it. But you know what's even more tiresome? Those people in the art world (who aren't even creative enough to contribute to this nonsense) who never, I repeat, never express their own opinion. Find me a single person who "knows" something about art who is willing to say that they don't like this piece.

Art is bad art if you have to say "oh well you just aren't EDUCATED. Once you know you'll see that it's good."

You learn how to read, you don't learn how to see a fucking metal strap and a piece of wood. Give me a break.

@ 12 how is it that you expect people to do as you say and still have thier own opinion?
@ 17 no one is saying that you need to be educated to understand a work of art, but being slightly informed does add more to the discussion than "it's bad because I don't like it"
