It's unclear who purchased the 19,000 square foot property, which is valued at about $1.25 million by the King County Assessor's Office. The real estate agent handling the sale would not divulge who purchased the property, but he did say papers were just signed yesterday. According to Ed Park—who...

I lived next to that church for 3 years. It's located in a quiet, residential portion of Capitol Hill. (They were great neighbors.) Condos would fit right in. The neighborhood is a mix of buildings and homes. With three churches on that block, parking was easy. I guess all good things come to an end, though and I think that's the right thing to put there.

I just hope they make it sort of brick-looking to match the building next door.

Just what Rainier Beach needs, another church. All the commercial space there is slowly becoming some sort of fly-by-night money taker. But for all the piety, the neighborhood just gets shittier and shittier.
