onIsiah Thomas was just fired from his position as coach of the New York Knicks.
I don’t really care, or anything, I just wanted to see what it felt like to be a sports blogger.
The Knicks are basketball, right?

Paul, "Blog at your own risk" according to the NY Times:

Sure the Washington Post claims he was fired for being drunk in a photo, but everyone knows they really fired him for blogging outside his subject matter expertise.
p.s. I'm sorry for the mean things I said about your post the other day, can I go back to being your stalker now?
Everyone wishes PopTart was their stalker ...
The Knicks are basketball, right?
It was hard to tell this year.
You could say the writing was on the wall.
I'm getting to like you, Paul. I'm glad they hired you.
@2 Thanks Will, I'd be happy to stalk you instead. (You do know I'm really a 75 year old man who lives in a nursing home, don't you?)
Isiah Thomas' middle name is Lord. Really.
Oh, PopTart, there ain't nothin' personal in this crazy, bloggy world. No apology necessary. You should totally rough me up when you feel it's necessary.
OMG I'm a book guy.
Sports are SOOOOOOO pedestrian.
Look how funny I am, I don't even what sport the knicks play!
but wait, I do know, I'm just extraordinary pretentious!
@6 - of course ... it's my brand of fun toying with people's emotions ... kind of like a mellow version of what the Sonics / Mariners / Green River Killers (Seattle Sounders FC) does to the fans. (wink)
How about them Seahawks?
@9: I'm extraordinarily pretentious, thankyouverymuch.
Faux elitism ain't pretty.
@8 I'm usually the more submissive type, but for you I could probably try being rough...Whew now I'm all hot and bothered.
p.s. Don't tell Will but I'm not really a 75 year old man in a nursing home.
Basketball: that's the one where tall men run back and forth throwing a large orange ball around, right?
Isiah did an embarrassingly bad job coaching the Knicks.
Haha, you're so cute. What an adorable post. Did you die a little on the inside writing it?
This is actually a fairly interesting story, because Isiah has been incompetent for years at pretty much everything he's ever tried since his playing days ended. The Knicks should have cut him loose for being a terrible general manager; instead, they made him the coach.
A Seattle comparison would be if Bill Plummer had been given a decade to lead the Mariners.
@14 and get paid billions of dollars to do it. Which is really important, cuz you know, the world is perfect and we dont need funding in other sectors.
