Latest polls from real clear:

New York: McCain vs. Clinton WNBC/Marist McCain 46, Clinton 48

McCain 48, Obama 46

Pennsylvania Democratic Primary Time Clinton 49, Obama 41
Wednesday, April 09
InsiderAdvantage Clinton 48, Obama 38
PPP (D) Clinton 46, Obama 43

Note:
Please ignore this infomration; it has been decided that there is no more news about this race or Obama v. McCain. Obama will win the nomination, so there's nothing to say or report on about him or Clinton or the fall general election or head to heads for that. We all know (a) he'll win the nomination and (b) no, he won't win asweeping change vitory as stated earlier....so it's a bit embarrassing to talk about how he's basically just tied with McCain right now, you know? Doesn't fit the adulation/change script. Ditto for that Fl/MI win-by-suppressing right to vote thing.

Oh and Iraq? Petraeus testifying and Obama and Clinton doing nothing to change the frame or blast him -- not news. Yawn. How they both looked lame (to me!) or great (to you!) or whatever -- it is not worthy of news or comment or even any more snarky remarks.

Also not news: media redefinnition of success for Obama in PA & how his losing will be spun as a win. Because he's "closing the gap" (like he did in TX and OH I guess). So, his continued failure to win big states, combined with how he will edge it out in pledged delegates anyway, isjust not worthy of any observation, comment or reporting.

Oh and polls like the last two in PA quoted above? Those two most recentpolls showing Clinton up 10 and 8 poitns? Definitely not news; only the one showing her up by 3 is news as only this fits the "closing the gap" theme.

Most of all that poll showing Obama losing NY state to McCain is especially not news. This is simply too frightening to contemplate, so let's all just ignore it.

There is no more news. Oh except how great Obama's mom was and how she traveled around the world and is kinda like us here in the PNW -- free spirit, ahead of her time, open to possibility of change, etc. When she's on cover of Time this week, that'll be news.

But Obama losing Pa and NY? Not important.

It's funny, because I'm sure they're always so SHOCKED when they are caught. Like there was ever the chance they wouldn't be.

Heh. What do you want to bet that he ran on a "family values" platform?

Country commissioner? CountRy? I think he's a county commissioner.

Also, the article implies he is also involved in a rape investigation. Yikes.

Check out Barclay's campaign website photos: http://www.brucebarclay.com/pictures.html

He's got his portly balding mug right there shaking hands with MC ROVE! (Karl, that is)

And I wonder what happened to these innocent exchange students over the years?
(Listed under "PERSONAL" in his bio:
"Bruce Barclay resides in Monroe Township. He has hosted 17 international high school exchange students in the past ten years.")

The sidebar is pretty interesting. It seems that the difference between prison time and just a fine is whether or not you record sound?

A Republican sex scandal with no wetsuits, rope, stuffed animals, electro-stim, meth or king-sized black dildos?

Meh. I'd give it three diapers out of ten.

@9 I was thinking the same thing. This is one scandal I do NOT want to see the pictures from. Maybe of the escorts, but not of the sex...oh please GOD, not of the sex.

How awesome Dan.

The Gay Mafia strikes again.

I look forward to the post where you skewer a closeted democrat and help ruin his life. Oh wait, you won't do that because the democrats have been SO FUCKING GOOD to the queers, right?

I wish I were a republican and/or a Count(r)y Commissioner so that I could afford weekly prostitutes.

It's just not fair...

Ecce, ecce, ecce, you ignorant slut, when some CLOSETED Democrat gets caught in a gay sex scandal, I'm sure Dan will be the first one on the case.

But, it's that whole "closeted" thing that's sort of the point, now isn't it?

So, am I gonna buy you that Absolut tonight, or what? Or are you going to maintain your usual fun-loving anti-social passive-aggression by sneaking into Moe, sitting in a corner without a nametag spewing vitriol under your breath at the rest of us?

C'mon ecce, come out of your closet.

Even better, he's pals with Rick Santorum! Maybe they shared some of those male rent-bois?

From The Sentinal (www.cumberlink.com) :

By his mid-40s, Barclay was hosting lucrative fund-raisers in his $1.2 million home and once sent his private plane to ferry former Sen. Rick Santorum from Washington, D.C.

That life began unraveling Monday when investigators combed his 8,800-square-foot home looking for clues of a rape that may have happened the day before. Tight-lipped investigators say Barclay is a suspect in that crime. Cumberland County GOP Chairman Victor Stabile said the news “shocked and saddened” him. He has known Barclay, he said, through their work with the party since the mid-1990s.

At that time, Barclay began a transformation that took him from successful businessman to political heavyweight. Within a few years he went from serving on the Monroe Township and Dillsburg municipal authorities to delivering President George W. Bush to a picnic in North Middleton Township.

A single man, Barclay reveled in the role, filling his home with pictures taken with Bush, Santorum and others. His financial resources enabled him to succeed where others failed. Barclay spent $92,000 in 2003 just to win the Republican nomination in a five-way primary.
